I live in an old mill town in eastern Connecticut. From about 1880 to 1920 it was very prosperous, as evidenced by the predominant architectural style, New England Victorian. I live in one of the more modest houses [ See picture ].

I am a student of politics, philosophy, art, writing, of life. My favorite reading is detective novels, illustrated books on design (houses, gardens) and how-to web books.

I am attracted to Japanese design. I love the bare simplicity of it, and it stands in strong contrast to my apartment which is busy and untidy. (And, come to think of it, of my little garden, which is also a jumble.)

For a while I have been working on web pages, and hoping to learn new things. First on my list is advancement in script use. Second on the list is accessibility. There will be a few pages of links of web resources... The links are there, but not yet the pages.
